Frequently Asked Questions

What does a typical meeting look like?

Do you help with (insert topic here)

Meetings are usually once or twice a week for either 60 or 90 minutes, depending mainly upon what we're doing. Earlier calls - particularly the first - might be a tad longer given there's more getting to know one another and strategy involved but all meetings can be recorded and include a virtual working environment alongside a zoom call.

With a combined 75+ years of industry experience between our partners, there is an almost 100% guarantee we can help you with what you need. From grant proposals to ghost writing, copy-editing and translating, subject specific tutoring and moral support, we can probably help.

Do you use AI in any of your work?

Do you offer a sliding scale?

Given the sensitive, and highly personal nature of application and career work, I don't trust nor use AI in any capacity related to Minerva Consultation EXCEPT FOR - social media content (where I often speak about it). Almost all applications now require for you to answer whether or not AI was used in the creation of said application, that's why this is included here.

Educational equity is one of Minerva's defining principles and we the related costs. All of our prices scale based on client/family income and we will always do our best to provide discounted packages for those who need help. Most clients require a combination of the following services packaging bundles of time together, as a result individual pricing can vary greatly.

What is this 100% success rate and is it real?

Do you offer payment plans?

Absolutely! As mentioned above, we truly want to help anyone we're able to and payment plans are generally agreed upon (terms, length, etc.) after an initial consultation gives us an estimate of cost.

When we say that our success rate is 100% it means that of the clients we have worked with, all of them have been offered interview(s) at their top choice school(s). While we do our best to prepare clients for interviews ourselves, they oftentimes don't ask for help and, as a result, fail to adequately prepare and don't get any offers/offers with enough funding to consider it a 'win'. This has happened 3 times since opening in 2015.

What is the typical timeline?

This is a hard question depending quite a bit on the work involved. For most graduate exams, give yourself about 3-4 months to prepare plus time to retest. For applications, you want to know what you're writing about ideally six-nine months before you start (depending on the number of apps). Other things, like editing or writing are usually done as needed asynchronously unless otherwise needed.
